Carole Hart Fletcher
Carole Hart-Fletcher graduated with a Distinction in Art & Design in 1973. She studied Ceramics, Graphic Design and Painting. This led to a career teaching Art around the UK where she encouraged children and adults to find their creativity.
Carole’s work is inspired by beautiful places. In 2002 Carole and author husband, Robert, bought a beautiful hand-built house on the River Dart in Devon. The rivers, hills and beaches of the South Hams became the inspiration for Carole’s photography and art. Carole has the eye of a trained artist – an eye for composition, colour, texture and light. She loves life and people and is constantly waiting for the magic moment and searching for the extraordinary story in ordinary things.
Carole has a passion for Art, Interior Design, Lifestyle and Styling homes. Prior to living in QuerQuay featured in Coast (2014) and House Beautiful (2016), she renovated a Victorian Gentleman’s residence in the Peak District, Sterndale House including a derelict Coach House. The project attracted much attention and was featured in many magazines including 25 Beautiful Homes (2002) and used as an benchmark for renovations by the Peak District National Park.
'I love how Art, Lifestyle and Interiors coincide to create a backdrop to our lives - it's visual, personal and can be so life affirming - a haven from lifes business'.
